March Madness: Book Edition

We're having our own March Madness with teen books this month!  Our TAG (TNT Advisory Group) has created a bracket with the books that have checked out the most in the last year.  You'll vote for your favorites each week as we narrow the field from 16 books to one winner.

Books and Bites
6th - 8th grade

Books and Bites for 6th - 8th graders will be held monthly.  

In September, we'll talk about our favorite books - or any books you want to talk about! Beginning in October, you'll read a selected book before book club.  During book club, you'll discuss the book, have snacks, and participate in an activity or craft related to the book.

We'll continue discussing Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott this month. (We hadn't finished reading it before last month's meeting!)  We'll also discuss To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han.

TAG
(TNT Advisory Group)
6th - 12th grade

6th through 12th graders are invited to participate in our TAG (TNT Advisory Group). 

We meet the second Friday of each month from 4:15 until 5:30.  Our next meetings will be held on January 11, February 8, March 8, April 12, and May 10.

We meet monthly to:
  • suggest books, audiobooks, DVDs, and CDs for the library to purchase
  • suggest and contribute to planning TNT programs
  • volunteer at the library

TNT Saturdays
6th - 12th grade
second Saturday each month

January 12: Escape Room tabletop game
February 9: Strategy Board Games (Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride)
March 9: March Madness basketball-themed activities
April 27 (Note the date change; this is not the 2nd Saturday): Activity to be announced following the TAG meeting on April 12
May 11: Activity to be announced


We'll do something different each month.  Making slime, craft projects, Escape Room games, board games, other games, and more are already on the list of possible activities.  You'll help decide what we do each month.  

Registration is NOT required, but it helps us plan for how many people will attend.  You can register here - or just drop in when you can come. 


Game Day

Saturday, November 10
Family Game Day (all ages): 10:00 - 1:00
TNT Game Day (6th - 12th grade): 1:00 - 2:00

Invite your friends and come by the library to play Wii games, board games, and card games.  Registration is not required.  Just drop in to play.

We also have some of our games available all the time in our teen area.  Stop by with a friend to play any time the library is open.
