2016 Summer Reading Program
(7/12) New: Each teen/tween who submitted the 2nd ticket on our reading log (for reading for 10 hours or 20 days) will receive a prize packet containing certificates for a free book, pizza, CheezyBread, bowling, and more.

Activities include reading with someone, reading somewhere you don't usually read, reading a different type of book than you usually read, trying something (origami, drawing, sign language, etc.) from a book, and more. Complete any 12 activities and return your form to the library by September 3 to receive a prize and enter the prize drawing.

(7/1) New: Registration is now open for our Fairy Garden Workshop which will be held on Saturday, July 16 at 10:30 A.M. You'll create your own mini fairy garden or work with a family member to create one together. Please register here.
(7/5) Updated: The 10:30 session is full. We have added a second Fairy Garden Workshop session at 12:30, also on Saturday, July 16.
Our Summer Reading Program will begin on Thursday, June 16. You are invited to read or listen to books, earn prizes, and attend programs throughout the summer.

Reading
You may choose to count the amount of time you read or the number of days you read and earn prizes for reaching reading goals throughout the summer. See more information on the reading logs which will be available at the library beginning on June 15.
You may read any books, ebooks, magazines, and graphic novels. You may also listen to audiobooks. We have a variety of genres and a variety of formats to assist everyone with finding reading materials they will enjoy.
Activity Logs
You may also choose to explore a variety of reading and library-related activities through an additional activity log and earn prizes for completing activities in this log.

Volunteer opportunities
Volunteer
opportunities are available for 6th
through 12th
graders throughout the summer at the library.
Opportunities
to volunteer include helping during programs for younger children,
assisting with the kickoff and closing events, preparing for
programs, and
other projects at the library.
